Screen printing and ecology in the production process
Pro-environmental actions are a day-to-day reality that all companies on the market have to face. Climate change is not just a trend, but a reality that is the responsibility of each of us as well as organizations whose operating methods must be adapted to today’s standards. Each company in Etisoft Group is facing challenges to set the new quality expected by informed customers. How does Graffiti Printing House deal with changes? Today’s article will shed light on this issue.
For years maintaining environmental standards has been a significant aspect of the business of the industrial Graffiti printing house, which specializes in front and control panel manufacturing. A range of ongoing improvement activities is aimed not only at providing the highest quality of offered products but also at creating an ecological culture of collaboration with suppliers and customers. We approach ecological activities holistically – we search for opportunities on many levels, while not forgetting about everyday habits.
Screen printing production
Our objective is to manufacture our products with respect for the environment and in compliance with the law that protects the environment by identifying environmental aspects and preventing or mitigating their effects. Recent screen-printing investments have been based on cold air UV curing technology. This technology not only guarantees efficiency but also does not emit hazardous substances into the air. We schedule production by sequencing products within a single technological group, which translates into reduced emissions, waste, and downtime.
Investment in machinery – up to 5,000 finished parts per day!
Actions relating broadly to the concept of quality management enable us to minimize production waste gradually and effectively. Therefore, the improvements made not only provide environmental benefits (lower emissions) but also economic ones. This is because they reduce the costs related to waste disposal and waste of raw materials. The very work environment is systematically monitored for noise and chemicals. The implemented 5S standard minimizes breakdowns and improves the overall cleanliness of workstations and production efficiency.
Transport and logistics
Another area undergoing continuous improvement in terms of ecology is transport and logistics. Raw materials and products delivered both within the supplier network and directly to our customers travel on the basis of carefully planned routes that take into consideration supplying production with necessary raw materials and customer demand for ordered printed materials. The pursuit of a fixed route schedule and its organization contributes significantly to the reduction of CO2 emissions.
The attachment to the principle of avoiding waste manifests itself not only in the issuance of products/raw materials in compliance with the FIFO principle but also in a flexible approach to building inventory. We take into consideration the seasonality of the order volume – in the low season the foreseeable quantities announced for the high season are manufactured. With this strategy, production-related delays are eliminated, and transportation planning is sensibly facilitated. Both minimize the company’s impact on the natural environment, eliminating the need to send additional cars with goods or run additional production.
Waste management
The waste neutralization process is a vital part of the ecological strategy of Graffiti Printing House. In compliance with waste disposal regulations, waste is segregated and stored in designated containers, inside the production halls and outside the building. The company carries out selective waste collection, and the collected materials are systematically forwarded to external companies that hold the necessary permits for their management. Systematic monitoring of waste collection enables the company to continuously improve its operations in this area, contributing to environmental protection.
“It is satisfying to see how Graffiti Printing House undertakes green activities. Our efforts to become efficient in manufacturing and to minimize its impact on the environment are crucial to our values and the objectives we have set for the years ahead. One of the objectives is to implement ESG principles to gradually reduce the carbon footprint. Investment in modern technologies is a step towards a more ecological future, which is particularly important in the case of screen-printing companies. It is our shared responsibility, and I am proud of how effectively we carry it out.”

Direction – ecology
All the aforementioned actions help us to pursue the synergy between the quality of our products and the organization of the production process so that their impact on the environment is as low as possible. Due to the chemicals essential for production, screen printing companies must be particularly careful about waste containment and workplace organization. So, we are doing whatever we can to meet today’s standards of running this type of business.
