Hang tag and cardboard tag labeling. How to print short and medium production runs
Labeling hang tags and cardboard tags or cardboard-paper cards that are packages of small consumer products can be achieved by:
- applying a printed label,
- direct inkjet or thermal transfer (TT) printing.
Direct TT printing, carried out using TTO printers, can be problematic due to positioning, product guiding, and printing repeatability. For this reason, we offer our customers the ASE Single Tag solution. It is a combination of a TT printer with an automatic feeder and receiving tray, which is perfect for short and medium production runs. It is also useful when there is a need to print missing cardboard tags needed to complete a production order.
Easy labelling of paper and plastic tags
ASE Single Tag is based on a Toshiba BEX4T1 printer with a 200 or 300 dpi near-edge print head. The printer features the ribbon saver function and an optional RFID UHF module. The near-edge print head makes it possible to print tags made not only of paper but also of plastic and other synthetic materials, without affecting its lifespan. It provides high-quality printing of small details at high speeds.

ASE Single Tag pneumatic feeder
The pneumatic cardboard tag feeder is a versatile and preferred solution for demanding products (thickness, shape). Its advantage is that it requires fewer pre-adjustments compared to electric feeders.
Printing support for frequent assortment changes
Operating the machine is simple and involves feeding cardboard tags/hang tags into the feeding tray, ordering the printing of the design in a preset quantity, and receiving the labeled products from the receiving tray. The printing design and printing order are carried out using our proprietary ETILABEL program or another one that supports Toshiba TT printers.
