Energy labels

According to applicable regulations, all types of electrical devices and home appliances must have appropriate markings. The most distinctive ones that you come across in the store are energy labels.

What are energy labels?

An energy label is a marking for products made under the EU guidelines and other regional standards. Its purpose is to provide end users with information about the energy class of the product. Depending on the industry, a product’s energy label provides information on characteristic parameters that have an impact on the user’s comfort and environmental protection. The energy label enables consumers to assess whether an appliance is energy efficient. There are new energy classes applicable in Poland, within which a piece of equipment can be rated from A to G. The closer to the beginning of the alphabet, the less electricity the appliance consumes during operation. The energy label also indicates how much energy the product consumes yearly. When choosing a refrigerator or washing machine, this is frequently one of the most significant issues for buyers.
