Automate the labelling of flat and thin products. Get to know the ARCA labeling system!
The reality of manufacturing, where every second counts and quality and repeatability are crucial, makes marking automation a standard. This is especially true for flat products. Cardboard boxes, envelopes, sachets, leaflets – that is, where a precisely and aesthetically applied label serves an informative function. The answer to these needs is ARCA’s comprehensive labeling system for flat and thin products. It offers high accuracy, versatility and reliability.
Etisoft is a business partner of Arca Labeling&Marking, an Italian manufacturer of equipment designed for automatic label application, automatic printing and application equipment.

Modular design – a flexible approach to marking automation
The system is based on an automatic adjustable flat product feeder. It allows precise picking of individual items from the feeder (stacker) and feeding them onto the conveyor. This enables continuous, unattended operation with high efficiency, regardless of the shape and material of the product. Whether it’s a thin paper envelope or a thicker cardboard box. Two feeders are available, with a maximum product width of up to 500mm and a labeling speed of up to 40m/min, and a maximum product width of up to 250mm and a labeling speed of up to 70m/min. The maximum thickness of a single product cannot be more than 10 mm.

The end of the line can be a receiving table with a lift function. It allows repeated, automatic stacking of finished products. This prevents damage and allows longer working cycles without the need for operator intervention. The maximum stack height of the stacked products is 300 mm. A set without a receiving table can accumulate labelled products in a backed carton or KLT container.

ARCA label applicator or printer-applicator – the choice is yours
Another advantage of the solution is the ability to implement one of two types of labelling devices:
- ARCA label applicator – ideal when using ready-made or pre-printed labels. The device ensures high application precision even at high speed and excellent repeatability for positioning labels with a width of up to 250 mm.
- print&apply ARCA device – dedicated for those applications where fixed or variable data is required to be printed directly before application. This includes, for example, batch numbers, expiry dates, barcodes or 2D codes. The device can be integrated into a database and ERP system, enabling dynamic generation of label composition content.
Applications in various industries
The ARCA labeling system is ideal for industries such as:
- pharmacy – labeling of drug cartons according to serialization standards,
- logistics and e-commerce – labeling of courier envelopes and unit packs,
- cosmetics – application of promotional and informational labels to flat packs,
- food industry – labeling of sachets, foil packs and cardboard blanks.
Benefits of implementing ARCA system for flat and thin products
- High precision and repeatability of applications,
- Ability to work with a wide range of materials and formats,
- Reduction of manual labor and operating costs,
- Functionality: ability to do the entire production batch, only short orders or additional marking in case of an incomplete serial order,
- Easy integration into the production line or as a stand-alone station,
- Possibility of installing additional equipment such as an inkjet head (data addition), a 1D/2D code scanner or a vision system for quality inspection or registration of data placed on the packaging.
Summary
Automation of labeling through the ARCA labeling system for flat products is the answer to the growing needs for automation, quality and efficiency in modern manufacturing plants. With its modular design, selectable labeling head and automatic feeding and receiving of products, the device offers maximum efficiency with minimal handling. It is the ideal solution for companies that want to gain an edge with a modern approach to product labeling.
